Rent Ferrari Roma in Dubai

If you want to rent a Ferrari Roma in Dubai, you are choosing one of the most elegant cars Maranello has built in recent years: a front-engined V8 grand tourer that feels just as comfortable on a long coastal cruise as it does on a fast stretch of highway. We can arrange both the Roma coupé and the open-top Roma Spider, so this page covers the two versions together. The Roma suits drivers who want real Ferrari performance without the aggressive look of a mid-engined supercar.

What makes the Ferrari Roma special

Ferrari unveiled the Roma in Rome in November 2019, and the name is a nod to the relaxed, stylish spirit of the city in the 1950s and 1960s, the era Italians call "la dolce vita". Rather than wings, vents and sharp creases, the Roma has clean, flowing lines, a long bonnet and a body-coloured grille that hides much of its aggression. It is one of the few modern Ferraris that turns heads for its elegance rather than its noise.

Under the bonnet sits a 3,855 cc twin-turbo V8 producing 620 CV, paired with the 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox first introduced on the SF90 Stradale. Power goes to the rear wheels only, which gives the car a classic, balanced front-engine feel. A small active spoiler built into the rear screen rises at speed to add downforce, then tucks away again to keep the profile clean.

Inside, the Roma uses a dual-cockpit layout: a curved digital instrument display for the driver, a central touchscreen, and a separate display on the passenger side so your co-driver can follow speed, navigation and music. The Manettino switch on the steering wheel lets you move between driving modes, from a softer setting for city traffic to sharper modes for open roads.

The Roma Spider

The Roma Spider arrived in 2023 and brought back a fabric soft top on a front-engined Ferrari. The roof opens or closes in about 13.5 seconds and can be operated while driving at up to 60 km/h, which is handy when the afternoon sun gets strong. A wind deflector integrated into the rear seat back reduces turbulence in the cabin with the roof down. Performance is essentially the same as the coupé, with 620 CV and 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds.

Driving a Ferrari Roma in Dubai

The Roma is a grand tourer, so it shines on long, flowing roads. A few routes our clients enjoy:

  • Sheikh Zayed Road – the main artery past the Burj Khalifa, Dubai Marina and the city skyline, especially impressive at night.
  • Jumeirah Beach Road – a slower, scenic drive along the coast, ideal for the Roma Spider with the roof down.
  • Palm Jumeirah – the trunk and crescent roads towards Atlantis, perfect for photos and an evening cruise.
  • Jebel Jais or Hatta – for a full-day mountain drive, the twisting roads show what the V8 and the chassis can really do.

Keep in mind that the UAE has strict speed limits and a dense network of speed cameras. The Roma is fast enough to earn a fine in seconds, so enjoy the sound and the acceleration responsibly. In the summer months, early morning and evening drives are more comfortable, and the coupé, with its closed, air-conditioned cabin, is a good choice for daytime trips.

Occasions for a Roma rental

Thanks to its understated design, the Roma works for occasions where a louder supercar might feel out of place:

  • Weddings – an elegant arrival car for the couple, with a classic Italian silhouette that photographs beautifully.
  • Business meetings – smart and refined enough to arrive at a hotel or an office in DIFC without looking flashy.
  • Photo and video shoots – the Spider is popular for fashion and lifestyle content with the roof down.
  • Birthdays and anniversaries – a memorable gift, from a few hours to a full weekend.
  • Proposals – a sunset drive along the coast in a Roma Spider is hard to beat.

If you only need the car for a short occasion, hourly and daily rentals can be arranged as well as longer bookings.

Rental requirements in Dubai

Requirements vary slightly between suppliers and models, but for a car like the Roma you should usually expect the following:

  • Minimum age – 21 years; for some high-performance models it can be higher, and we confirm it in your quote (see our rental conditions).
  • Driving licence – a valid licence is required. Tourists from many countries can drive on their home licence; others need an International Driving Permit together with their national licence.
  • Documents – passport and visa or entry stamp for visitors; UAE residents usually provide their Emirates ID and UAE licence.
  • Security deposit – a refundable deposit or pre-authorisation on a credit card, released after the car is returned and any charges are settled.
  • Tolls and fines – Salik road tolls and any traffic fines are charged to the renter.
  • Insurance – the car is covered by comprehensive insurance; the exact excess and conditions are explained before you sign.
  • Mileage – rentals include a daily kilometre limit, and extra kilometres are charged.

Ferrari Roma vs Ferrari Amalfi

In 2025 Ferrari presented the Ferrari Amalfi as the successor to the Roma coupé. The two cars share the same basic concept: a front-engined 2+ grand tourer with a twin-turbo V8, rear-wheel drive and an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The Amalfi has a little more power (640 CV against 620 CV) and a sharper, more modern front end, along with an updated interior.

On the road the difference is small. The Roma has the softer, more classic look that many people associate with the "dolce vita" style, while the Amalfi feels slightly more contemporary. If you want the open-air experience, the Roma Spider is a natural alternative to the Ferrari Portofino M, which uses a folding hard top instead of a fabric roof.
