Ferrari delivery from Dubai to Abu Dhabi
Every car we rent is kept in Dubai, so an Abu Dhabi rental is really a Dubai rental with delivery to the capital. When you send your request, tell us the address in Abu Dhabi (a hotel, a private home or Zayed International Airport), when you need the car and when you plan to hand it back.
We then confirm whether the model you want is available for those dates and include the delivery and collection arrangements in the quote. Collection works the same way: we can pick the car up in Abu Dhabi, or you can return it in Dubai if your trip ends there.
Driving from Dubai to Abu Dhabi
If you prefer to collect the car in Dubai, the drive to Abu Dhabi is straightforward. The main route is the E11, known as Sheikh Zayed Road in Dubai, which runs south-west along the coast past Jebel Ali and into Abu Dhabi emirate at Ghantoot. Depending on where you start in Dubai, the distance to central Abu Dhabi is roughly 120-140 km, and the trip usually takes about an hour and a half when traffic is light. Rush hours can add a fair amount of time.
The E11 is a wide multi-lane highway, comfortable for a grand tourer. Plan fuel and breaks sensibly and keep in mind that a return trip alone is well over 250 km, which counts towards the daily mileage allowance in your quote.
Coming from Dubai, Yas Island is one of the first areas you reach, before the bridges onto Abu Dhabi Island itself. That makes it a natural first stop.
Places to drive and visit around Abu Dhabi
Yas Island
Yas Island is the obvious destination for anyone arriving in a Ferrari. It is home to Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, the indoor theme park under its distinctive red roof, and to the Yas Marina Circuit, which hosts the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Public roads on the island have normal speed limits; for faster driving, the circuit offers its own supervised track experiences, booked directly with them.
The Corniche
The Corniche is the long waterfront boulevard along the north-west edge of Abu Dhabi Island, lined with beaches, parks and the city skyline. It is a drive to enjoy slowly, ideally in the late afternoon or evening. Emirates Palace and Qasr Al Watan are nearby.
Saadiyat Island
Saadiyat Island combines the cultural district, including the Louvre Abu Dhabi, with quiet beaches and resort hotels.
Jebel Hafeet in Al Ain
For a longer day out, Jebel Hafeet near Al Ain, inland in Abu Dhabi emirate, is one of the most famous driving roads in the region. The mountain road is about 12 km long and climbs over a thousand metres through a long series of sweeping bends to the viewpoint at the top. It is a long round trip, so check your mileage allowance, set off early and drive the bends within the posted limits.
Abu Dhabi road rules and tolls
Driving in Abu Dhabi follows the same UAE traffic law as Dubai, but there are a few local points worth knowing:
- Speed limits and cameras: speed cameras are common on highways and in the city, and Abu Dhabi does not apply a tolerance above the posted limit. Limits can change from one section of road to the next, so always follow the signs rather than habit or a navigation app.
- Darb tolls: Abu Dhabi has its own toll system called Darb. Gates on the bridges onto Abu Dhabi Island charge during the morning and evening peak hours, and since May 2026 two newer gates, at Ghantoot on the E11 near the Dubai border and at Al Qurm, operate around the clock. Coming from Dubai on the E11, you will pass the Ghantoot gate. Tolls are recorded automatically from the number plate.
- Who pays: Darb tolls, Salik tolls on the Dubai side, parking and any traffic fines are paid by the renter. We pass on toll charges recorded against the car during your rental.
- Parking: most of central Abu Dhabi uses paid parking zones, and hotels and malls have their own car parks. Park only in marked bays.
Which Ferrari suits a trip to Abu Dhabi
Any car in our Ferrari fleet can make the trip, but some suit a long highway run better:
- Ferrari 12Cilindri - a front-engined V12 grand tourer, relaxed at cruising speed and ideal for a couple with weekend luggage.
- Ferrari Roma - elegant, comfortable and easy to live with, a good choice for an evening on the Corniche or a hotel arrival on Saadiyat.
- Ferrari Purosangue - four doors and four proper seats, so the whole family or a group of friends can travel together.
Not sure? Tell us how many people are travelling and where you plan to drive, and we will suggest a model.
